Below is some of our Favorite Links. Please check them out. There is lots of information about Lions sites, also some of the area in which we are located, many of these sites containing pictures, and history of St. George and Fundy Bay region. Quick facts and much more. A must see for those who would like to vacation here.
Discover the blend of old and new as you explore the town. Stroll its quiet and unpretentious streets to the spot where the first settlers climbed ashore from the Magaguadavic River in 1783. Catch a glimpse of the past in the granite post office, the Presbyterian Kirk (the oldest building in Canada continuously used as a Presbyterian church.), and the Anglican cemetery. In the forests around the town, sense the ghosts of the past in abandoned granite quarries. View St.George's famous gorge from above and below the falls. Marvel at the stubborn Atlantic Salmon maneuvering the fish ladder. Scan the sky above the river basin for eagles. Thrill for the sight of an osprey diving for its prey.

Glimpse the future in the modern mall housing a variety of services and stores, in the industrial park, in the new tourist facilities like the lookout on the Magaguadavic basin and the Day Adventure Centre on the banks of the upper river. St.George, where the river meets the sea, where old meets new, where visitors meet unspoiled countryside, uncrowded beaches and a friendly welcome.

This bustling community is situated in Charlotte County conveniently located 40 km from Canada's Chocolate Town - St. Stephen and the Maine border, 100 km east is New Brunswick's largest city Saint John and our capital city, Fredericton is about 200 km to the north. The town was founded by Peter Clinch in the 1700's. St. George, Granite Town, First Falls is a loyalist town, historic in culture, diverse in architecture; featuring Canada's oldest Presbyterian Kirk.

Nestled on the banks and around the estuary of the Magaguadavic River, St.George proudly proclaims its Loyalist origins in its name. While the title, the granite town, recalls its past as a centre of the granite industry, the town also looks forward to a future as a service venture for the aquaculture and tourism industries.
